I know that we can wake up the server using the Wake Server inside the HP MediaSmart Sever - Control Center. The problem is the Control Center client won't be available at my job's computer.

I have set the port forwarding in my router

"Wake-On-LAN 192.168.10.100 UDP 9 → 9 Allow All Always"

and try the http://www.remotewakeup.com/en/ website but unable to wake the server up. It will send the magic packet but the server won't wake up at all.

Did I misss a step or I should let the server stay on 24/7? TIA.

The Tomato firmware on my router has a WOL feature, so I'm able to log in to it remotely and from there wake up the server. I've not had experience with the site you mention, sorry.

Thank you for your reply. That website is supposed to wake up the server from sleeping :) I have decided to let the server running 24/7 since I can't wake it up outside of my home.
