As some of you may have seen from other posts I am trying to upgrade my MSS to an new OS (win 2008 SBS).

So far I have upgraded my CPU to an Intel E5400 and I am testing now. Look good so far.
I am getting a 4gig memory in the mail in a day or so and will be installing that and testing.

But the things I need to know are.

Can I boot to DVD/CD or thumb Drive (USB DRIVE) ?
Once I get the OS installed can I put a copy of the Image on the bulit in flash on the MSS ?

If any one knows of other post of users upgrading or who have upgraded the OS I would very much appreciate the links

See my BIOS blog post, I have a screenshot of accessing the boot order menu. I've loaded Ubuntu on the EX48x mainly for giggles, I've not pursued installing Server 2008. It will likely be much easier than the EX47x since those drivers could be problematic on other operating systems.

Thanks I was able to Boot to DVD, I installed 2008 SBS. Now I need to find nic drivers.

Found Drivers. Testing Will get back in a day or so with an update .
