With all the processor upgrades does anyone know if the mounting holes for the heatsinks are the standard 775?

If so this looks interesting?

Here is another one that is only 45mm tall and has active cooling.

No, the spacing is "non-standard". I wish I had measured and written down the spacing as that was one of the things I was going to do when I had the system opened. I too had come up with some nifty possible 1U heatsink solutions (that I was going to use for subsequent processor upgrades), but when the first one arrived and didn't fit I pretty much gave up on the idea.

I have tried to upgrade the cpu fan and heatsink with no luck with a after market part. The mounting holes on the mother board are unique to the system. My cousin the CNC machinist is making me a custom heatsink for my board. the max in height is 29.5 MM for the fan and heatsink assembly. I will be putting this on a Intel core 2 duo E6700 which i have test with great success in my EX485. I just need active cooling to bring the temps down. Its smokin fast and runs at 1066 bus just fine.
