Unfortunately, no, I did not take any snaps. I can describe to you what I did though.
Fortunately, all the material you need is already in the package with the heatsink. You just need the tools and patience.
Attached is a picture of the Intel brackets, unmodified. Please notice that it's not completely flat, there are indentations along the length of each bracket. What I did was turn these two rigid brackets into four adjustable legs.
The first thing I did was to cut each bracket in two, between the two up facing screws in the picture that secure the brackets. Of course, the brackets were not installed on the heatsink at this time. So now, there are four, equal segments.
I pointed out earlier that there are indentations in the metal. The ones closest to the feet, or the screw holes that would secure the whole assembly to the motherboard, those indentations I turned into slots, roughly the same width as the screw holes in the feet.
After that, I cut off enough so that the side of the bracket that does not have the foot, is small and rounded enough to rotate or swivel when it is screwed onto the heatsink. Also, a bit of grinding is in order, as well as bending the metal back into place in case it is slightly warped during work. This is normal.
So now, you test-mount it. Screw the legs loosely onto the heatsink, then place it on the motherboard. Adjust the legs to see if you can get the legs to reach the holes while clearing any obstacles. It will take a bit of work to figure out how to fit it.
Once you're satisfied, throw on the thermal paste and fit the heatsink.
I know it's not all that easy to visualize, but if I have time, I'll see if I can take a few pics. Also, I did not own any of the tools I used. I had to visit a workshop, which showed me how to use the tools, after I paid a membership fee. Below, I'll list the tools used:
- Drill press with cobalt drill bit. If you can find harder drill bits, please use them. Also, use cutting fluid. Why a drill press instead of a handheld drill? The metal is extremely hard, you'll need the extra leverage that a drill press allows.
- Dremel tool or drill, to smooth the inside of the holes or slots. In theory, a drill press can be used for this too, but that's a bit of a waste for something so small.
- Grinder. Those big ones used for metal. If you can find an attachment with bristles for smoothing and rounding, that would be great.
- File. Optional. For fine finishing.
