[???] EX485 CN11

what is that for? is the CN11 for another eSATA? if so can i solder it on and expect to work?

and on the motherboard CN1 is it for fan too? (not on the riser card)

I would be VERY careful about doing this! One wrong move and your server is TOAST!

That said, I remoted into my EX487 (same mobo as the 485) and fired up the Intel Rapid Storage Technology UI to see what it had to say about the matter. Sure enough, it says there is one empty internal port available. That means the CN11 theoretically *could* be used for adding another port. I am NOT an expert in doing something like this however, and my recommendation is against soldering another port on. However, if you've already made up your mind, the Intel RST driver thinks there is a port available.

My EX487 has an SSD in the system slot, plus 3 internal HDDs and one external. And yet there's a port free...
