Hi there!

A guy I know had an EX487, but lost the recovery discs. He had taken the drives out to put in his desktop, but didn't have to discs to recover the server/reinstall anything, so he just gave it to me.

Now what I am wondering is how the heck am I supposed to recover this thing?! I already contacted HP about getting new recovery discs, but they said they had none in stock. I've been Googling for a couple hours now with absolutely no luck, so I figured I'd turn here.

Way to recovery is to put the server in recovery mode. Since HPMSS has no video or keyboard, only way to do this is via network disks. You will need a) buy VGA debug card or b) buy new recovery disks.
