I just swapped the E5200 with a E6500 (Wolfdale 2.93 Ghz. Intel VT-x, 1066 FSB, 65W). WHS2011 with a 4 Gb RAM runs fine but I have two problems. The hardware virtualization (VT) is not recognized. This was the only reason I replaced E5200. How do I get Intel VT working in EX487? And it does not shutdown (E5200 used to shut down). I did not invest in VGA cable yet. I was able to modify the bios without it.

Current BIOS settings (HP Bios dated 9/23/2008)
Intel Virtualization=01,01
PECI = 01,01
SpeedStep= 00,00

The EX485 bios will not run any processor correctly (shutdown, etc) other than the E5200 SLAY7. What I wound up doing was flashing the modded EX495 bios which is found on this forum. Everything now runs quite well

Flashed EX487 the modified EX495 BIOS and E6500 runs as it should. VT is enabled and motherboard shuts down. Thank you.

If you aren't happy with the temperatures, most cpu's run fine, I run speedfan to control the 2 fans and it works extremely well.
