I previously had an ex485 I ended up giving to a friend when I built my own whs. My friend no longer needs it and I just got it back. It is stock and never modified. I am just wondering what if anything else it might be good for. I guess I could always setup a second server assuming I don't run into problems with the advanced format drives. I am also assuming it works perfectly still since he hasn't used it in a while. It just seems like it isn't worth the hassle to try to upgrade the hardware at this point. I just wasn't sure if there was at least a way to reuse the enclosure. |
