I have a EX495 and a EX485. I have upgraded the RAM to 4Gb 'cause it was easy from everything I have read... now after successfully accomplishing this I am thinking about upgrading the CPU.

I have really read up a lot about this but there is so much written that I thought that I would ask to verify if I understnad correctly...
The EX495 has a E5200 chip and therefore can go into the EX485, but my only concern would be that I might have to start messing with the BIOS, which is something which I am not yet confortable to do.

Can anyone confirm whether the E5200 from the EX495 can go into the EX485 without having to modify the bios and have the desired results?

I upgraded from a stock E5200 from someone else's EX495 to my 485 and bios mods were required for the chip that I used. You can see my post regarding chip specifics here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9724
