MediaSmartServer.net :: View topic - optical audio out to digital audio out adapter

Hi All,

Need an opinion from people who may have used one of these adapters. After alot of reading here, and looking at websites, I have finally deceided to try a popcorn hour, seems to do everything I want, and not a bad price to boot!

THe only drawback I see so far is the A110 has an optical audio out, and the A100 has a digital audio out. My bose home theater takes the older digital audio hookup. Googled and found an optical to digital adapter for around 18.00

Do they work good? Worth the money?? Buy the A100 instead?? (won't be using the HDMI, will use the component output) :-k

Just need to figure this last head scratcher out before I can order one. Kinda thrilling and scary at the same time!!

Bob Bob, Just thought I would add (I don't know if this is of interest, but there is a new model just announced, not sure of a date yet - http://dbone1026.blogspot.com/search/label/C200). Didn't mean to add another option to your list
