I am still searching for something that will work with my HD PVR. I've been using Sage TV for 6 or 8 months and it's stopped working. I went to the Hauppauge website and they show that NextPVR works with the HD PVR. The best thing is it's free. Has anyone tried using it?

I'm a big fan of mediaportal, have you had a look to see if it supports your device?

What versions of SageTV are/were you running? Do you know what caused it to stop working? I've been using SageTV Server V7 installed on my EX485 along with an HD200 for several years and haven't had any issues. The sage forums are still active over at www.sagetv.com, they can probably help you get it running again if we can't help you here.

I am running an older version, 7.1.9.256. I set the source to my HD PVR. I can preview the channels. As soon as I switch to watch TV, I get No Signal. It's pretty frustrating.

Are you running MediaPortal on your EX490? What do use use for playback on the TV?

Sorry to take so long to reply. My setup is pretty conventional. I have a separate pc for media center. It has SageTV, a Hauppauge tuner card and a HD PVR. I have DISH Network. Whenever I playback, I use WMC with Media Browser.

I'm running V7.1.8.256 of SageTV on a W7 machine. I've had earlier versions working with my HD PVR, but recently upgraded to V7.1.8.256. For some reason the IR Blaster stopped working with SageTv. I tested it with the Blaster Configuration and it worked fine. So, I removed the HD PVR as a capture device so as to re-configure the capture devices. Now the HD PVR does not show up in the list of capture devices. The HD PVR works with TotalMedia Extreme.

What can be done to get this thing recognized, again?
