I have all my audio files in Flac format. I would like to be able to stream the music to my iPhone or other remote computers, i.e. over the internet. There are a few solutions I can think off:
1) I transcode everything to mp3 using some external SW
2) I let TwonkyMedia automatically convert all new flag files to mp3
3) I have TwonkyMedia convert flac files on-the-fly adjusting bit rates depending on the connection
4) I have some other software on the WHS that converts on-the-fly adjusting the bit rate
3) is my ideal solution but I have not seen how it can be done. Can it? If not then 2) or 4) seems the next best solution. Does anybody have any experience with that?
Take a look at Subsonic. It may do what you want.
