XBMC Fans - has anyone figured out how to make XBMC "pull in" or scrape the same meta-data and pictures as "My Movies?"

I have the My Movies scraper, all of my movies are updated with the My movies manager, including NFO files for XBMC... but no matter what I do, I end up with different fan art and different box covers... driving me insane! My basic set-up includes the My Movies server running on my WHS and I use the My Movies front end on two of my HTPCs. However, there are some things about XBMC love and really want to give it a fare shake..so I have been attempting to get al of the movie info (especially box covers) to match what I have in My Movies. I have tried using the My Movies scraper within XBMC, I have tried having My Movies create XBMC NFO files... I still cannot get this to look right. Any ideas?

I plan on cross-posting over at XBMC, but I feel at home here, so wanted to try here first.

My movies does not gather fan art/covers for xbmc, only nfos. This is why the covers/fan art you already have does not get picked up in xbmc.

One solution if you have 2500 points, you can actually use my movies as the scraper within xbmc.

I'm not sure if you have installed the XWMM plug-in from the plug-in list (System > Add-Ons > Get add-ons - under web interface) In XBMC. then activate it as your current web interface.
You can switch back to the remote control interface after you make the edits if you use that.

This plug-in will put your movie scrapper database into an editable web based frontend. just point any web browser to the IP of your XBMC (or find the UPNP icon in "network" on vista/7). You can then easily make any changes you want to your media list, including grouping of movies into sub-groups (Ie. "Star Wars Saga"). You also can see there are several box art images downloaded by the scrappers and you can pick the one you like best. I had to do this for some Director cuts that had the wrong box art.

This is so much easier then messing with the NFO files.

Thanks! I was finally able to get My Movies to create the correct NFO file and was able to get XBMC to pick up the right info and photos during the initial scan.

Now, I just wish XBMC had a nice TV/DVR front end and I think I would dump WMC forever!

I hear ya, WMCs lacking internal player definitely has me wanting to ditch, but haven't made the move yet for various reasons.

If I'm not mistaken, XBMC has a PVR with TV support in the works. There was a forum section for the beta on their forums. I personally do not have a need for this so i didnt look at it yet. But it looked like you could downoad a the plugin beta.

I thought they were looking to integrate off of Media Portals TV Server application, but I haven't seen much regarding. I think a lot of people who want TV/PVR integrated into XBMC go the Sickbear/SABNzbd route
