It was released 2 days ago on Tuesday. RDP in and manually run windows update and see if it shows up.

If you are having difficulties picking up updates sometines a RESTART will help...

Even though PP1 is now "official" are there any expected or known issues with HP updates coming through as previously documented before while it was still in BETA?

Just curious if us eager adopters who get it through RDP and not through the console are in for any "surprises".

Please advise. :)

Additionally how does one get the connector update? As the icon then converts to a yellow exclimation point after you install PP1.

Please advise

Never mind, I have figured out to get the update you access http://<servername>:55000 and download the update reinstalling it...

BTW - WOW, the udpate really kicks the demigrator, twonkymediaserver and mcafee virus scanner up a notch hey? The box is running about 40-80% usage quite a bit... :(

Therefore, My only inquiry that still stands is if early adopters of the PP1 through RDP are going to have any reprocussions from downloading this way and not through the console.

If you coud advise or comment it would be appreciated!

Did you RDP, into the server and then go into IE and have it check for them? That's how I recieved it and now my console reads Windows Home Server with Priority Pack 1.

to gothman

as i understand it, just to clarify, the automatic update procedure is now "active" (since Tuesday) - either it has updated your system without you noticing (you should be able to see this in "Settings / Resources" - now reads Powerpack 1) or there is an issue with your system that others more expert than me can address with you.

hope that is clear - i am certainly no expert on all this, but i think i get the basic idea now, and it worked for me. Also, it took me by surprise that there is no new menu/tab for share backups, but it is now obvious what to do when you plug in a usb hard drive into the server.
