| Post subject: | Vista 64 Home Server Connector Issues |
I have installed the update to my server, and the OS version is showing the correct version number according to HP's guide, but when I go to install the Home Server Connector on my Vista 64 bit client, I get the following: 1. If I try and run the setup.exe., I immediately get an error message telling me that this software cannot run on 64 bit. 2. If I try and run install.exe, I get the typical connector installation splash screen, then I see .Net2 successfully installs, and then I get a error message like in 1 telling me that this software cannot run on 64 bit. Everywhere I look I am told that the performance pack adds support for Vista 64, but it does not seem to be working for me. Any help, tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Not saying it will work, but I had the same on Win 64bit. I powered off the MMS and let it reboot. Then running the [Install] from MMS [software/home server connect/install] it worked after a reboot. Then there was another small update from HP, updated all PC's in the house. Then I could not access the shares, rebooted everything again, all is well. Hope this fixes yours as well. Goodluck. |
