I installed the RTM PP1 update today and that seemed to go well. However, now all 3 client machines show "Network at Risk" and that I need to update the connectors. Sounds good...
They link me to
http://HOMESERVER:55000 and a small connector package ("WHSConnectorInstall.exe") is downloadable from there. Upon running this package, it finds the home server and gets to 100% on the "Downloading Software" screen. At the point it hits 100% it immediately errors and says "Home Server Mini Setup has stopped working." If I click "View problem details" I get the following:

This happens exactly the same on the two Vista machines I am attempting to install it on. I have searched on the internet and not found anything relevant and it doesn't seem like anyone else is having this issue. I saw one post recommending cold booting the network switch/router. I have done this and it did not help.
I have seen that I can install from the Software share if I uninstall the connector first. But I am concerned about whether the existing backups will be retained if I do so?
Some notes:
- I have not installed any of the various beta versions of PP1
- One of the Vista clients has SP1 and the other does not
- Both Vista clients are 32 bit
- I am not running any additional addins other than what the HP comes with
- I am using the "Run as Administrator" option when running the update
Thanks!!!
