Have been successfully running the SageTV7 Beta up to I think 7.21 on WHS. Have now installed the latest non Beta Version. At the end of installing the Add-In I get this message:
"Error 1920. Service 'SageTV' (SageTV) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

I can still start and stop other services and am logged in as Administrator.

When I go to Services and try to start it I get this:
"Could not start Service on local computer. Error 1053: The server did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion".

I have uninstalled/reinstalled SageTV several times as well as rebooting several times.

Anybody know what kind of things could prevent me from starting the Service?

Thanks very much for any help you can offer.

Rod

Thanks to a member of the SageTV Forum this is solved. It ended up being the SageTV trial period elapsed. This must have happened just as I was installing the new version. I had previously bought the upgrade and thought I had entered the SN, but I guess not. There was no error message or alert from Sage - would have saved a lot of grief if they had given one!

I really thought this must be some kind of WHS problem, thus my posting here.

So thanks to all of you that gave some thought to this.
