I just tried to backup my database( after starting over post total WHS system disk crash) I only have three backups from each of two computers. It fails at 17% both times. It appears I have plenty of space, but my WHS error messages says "not enough space".
Any ideas? Is it because my system disk is small (259gb)?
Thanks!

How big is your backup database? Most likely it is because of the limited amount of free space on the system drive. It is the best practice to back up to a dedicated backup drive rather than to server storage, I recommend a USB or eSATA external drive or a dedicated internal drive.

Thanks Alex, Ive only got one external backup dive right now (500gb) , but it is too full for my 340gb backup database. Ive got an extra 1.5tb drive, and thought about subbing it in as the system, but am a little gun-shy right now. Now I might just put it in as a "regular" drive for backups. My system drive crashed last week, and I had to manually copy over all my files (no reinstall option). I just thought with 1.3 tb of free space I couldn't figure out why it would get the "not enough space" error. I thought I'd read somewhere that it didn't make any difference anymore, with recent updates, if your system disk wasn't real large. Guess that was wrong.
Thanks again for your quick response!
