Hello Experts!

I am working on an Add-in for WHS and completed it somehow but it didn't show up in the Console even after successful deployment and installation.

I would be thankful to you if you can send me a sample AddIn Code which get successfully installed with WHS and listed in Tab as well settings in WHS Console. I think I may be doing a minor mistake which can be corrected by comparing a few starting lines of your working with mine. Or if you can identify a problem in my code, please help me:

Thank you

Hi and welcome to the forums! You need to generate a specifically named dll and place it into the /program files/Windows Home Server/ directory so that the console will pick it up. Currently you're placing the dll into your own Program Files location which won't work. Change your project settings to generate HomeServerConsoleTab.Pogoplug_WHS.dll and change your Wix code to place it in the Windows Home Server program files directory.

Here's some other good resources for developers new to Windows Home Server.

Let us know how it goes, and tell us more about your Add-In when you get a chance. :)

Have you tried our Add-Ins?
