Hi,

As I am new here, I'd first like to that everyone involved in putting together such a great resource. The add inns are brilliant - especially the MySQL, PHP and Wordpress ones. Which brings me to my issue. I have Wordpress set up fine now but I would like to be able to let friends access my blog via a domain name I own. If I point that domain to my routers fixed IP, when I hit www.mydomainname.com, I get the WHS login page. How do I divert that off to my blog?

Any help appreciated :)

If your domain name provider wont let you forward to a URL; the easiest way would be to change the default landing page for WHS. You will need to Remote Desktop to your server and add an entry to c:\inetpub\home\websites.xml and add a line similar to the below.

Code:
  <WebSite name="Blog" uri="/blog" imageUrl="/blog/wp-admin/images/logo.gif" absolute="false" />

That will add a choice on the page you currently see, but it will also now show up as an option for the default web site home page in the Windows Home Server Console, Remote Access Settings.
