Hi There

I have a HP EX470 and have just upgraded to the new version 3 HP software.

I then decided i wanted the hp mediasmart server online backup addin for amazon S3 storage.

So i went to HP support site and downloaded and dropped the add in on the server.

When it ried to install the add in i get

hp mediasmart server online backup requires that HP Mediasmart server update 1.3.1 must be installed on the server.

I have checked for updates to the saerver and there are none -- all is up to date.

how do i get the amzon S3 online backup add in to work?

Is this a proiblem with it not being compatible with the new Version 3 software?

Thanks

Daniel

That HP add in will not work with the 3.0 software.

So the only online backup option i can downoad now is the keep vault online backup that is over twice the cost of amazon S3, or am i missing something?

Maybe HP will add amazon backin as an option?

Is the Jungle Disk for WHS one still available to download? I use that with 3.0 with no issues. I know they don't support it anymore but it works.

you can also use the Coudberry add-in but, there is a one time fee for it.

I do not have or use such an application or service. I am curious why it seems like support for the released apps has suddenly stopped for a the few that I do see people using.

Best regards,
Tom
