space. 40 gb worth about. I simply cancelled after starting since I realized that i was not backing up to the external hd. I was backing up to server storage pool and that is where I have lost 40gb.

now i cant find where this HD went. Nothing in my server. will it come back? is it a hidden file?

btw whats the advantage to bdbb over the back up shared folders of whs to external hd feature that is intrinsic to the whs software 2.5?

The backup you canceled should show up in the BDBB window, where you can choose to delete it.

BDBB backs up your Client Backup DB, the shared folder backup feature of WHS only backs up your shared folders.
