Just installed AdminiMe 2010 at http://www.asoft.be/prod_adminimewhs.html

Some screen captures while Alex's BDBB is running. This is a semi DYI box and the BDBB backups are written to a share on my Win 7 Pro desktop. Works like a charm and well worth the paltry :) $6 early bird special price.

Great work!

Nick, the developer, just sent me a little tip that is not documented but works and is valuable:

Click Communications Settings to set up multiple email addresses for alerts. Never leave your Box. SMS etc. :)

In the To field enter:

Just seperate the addresses by ';' > foo@domain1.com;cellfoo@domain2.com

There is a limit of 100 characters. Click the Test button when you are finished. Also, with respect to the max temp of your hard disks field, the Add-in is smart enough to aggregate email notifys into a single message in most cases. I forgot to set mine correctly and a single email had 6 warnings. :)

I have installed it yesterday to figure out the reason for some network issues. It was very helpfully! (A lot of things which I never will use... perhaps) But is there any description for all of these messages?

Hi Wonko,

In the help you can find a small summary of all messages and what they mean.

Regards,
Nick

I have just purchased this as well, what a great app, it has let me monitor transfers etc from one window, really helpful whilst trouble shooting a self build. A+++

I also purchased today... Nice Add-In.

A Question: Any idea what the Fatal/Error messages are in the attached screen shot? Never noticed any of these before...

This is an issue in AdminiMe that will be fixed in the next update, but actually it means that your CPU is overloaded. (it just doesn't tell you very nicely ;-))
So have a look in the Task Manager to see which process is causing this.

Thanks!

Nick,

A question Iv'e been meaning to ask you. Please take a look at my screen shot. Event viewer does not show this error and when it happened I remember that the storage pool drive in question was green to go? This is the only time Iv'e seen this warning. Any ideas? All of my storage pool drives and BU drive reside in a TR5M.

Contined best wishes for a zillon sales :)

First, a confession and an apology for totally unprofessional behavior. I read the instructions/help file today. I know, not supposed to do that, but I really like to Add-In and got carried away.

Spotted a couple things:

(1) The Help shows several shortcuts that did not appear on the actual product.

(2) The Help states that temperature and data rates are shown in the "grid" area of the Storage tab; they are not.

(3) The Help indicates that Temperature settings for the CPU can be configured in the Configure tab; they are not there.

(4) I get an error indication when the Backup Service is stopped (good) but I also get one when it is restarted. Should get one that it is restarted if anything!.

I have attached screen shote related to the inconsistencies noted in 1-3 above.

FYI, I was running the console from within a remote desktop session if that makes any difference.
