I have been looking, but have yet to find an add-in that logs who logs in to the remote server (user), what files were uploaded and/or downloaded, the local time, and perhaps the originating IP.
That, to me, would be a very useful add-in.
I remember back in the BBS days, using Wildcat (I think that is what the BBS software was called) had that ability.
Has anyone seen something like this, or any interest in developing such an add-in?

Yeah. That's a nice add-in, but it does not tell me what files were uploaded and/or downloaded... which is half of the issue. I need to be able to tell when and what a client has transfered. One reason is some sort of "proof" that they uploaded a certain file, or if they got the right file, or what files were added, and when... again, mostly for documentation "proof".

I suspect that would be contained in the IIS logs on the server.

The webserver (IIS) logs that would most likely have a record of these accesses is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC* on the server. You'll need to know how to parse/read those log files to get anything useful, though.

Edit: If that doesn't contain the info, I don't know of any other place they would be logged.

Yeah. I just checked it out, and... uh huh... yeah. Took what hair I had left right off as it went screaming over my head.
Thanks a lot Alex.

There is also a program called WHS Directory Watcher, I suspect that between it and remote alert you could get some of what you want/need. It looks like it will report file use and by whom.
