That line bothers me.... what services do you have on your server already? And in c:\program files do you have mysql?

Thanks for the addins!
All went fine with install, but how do i change the password? I can login in the phpmyadmin page with default administrator and no password filled in. If i want to change the password by actions i got the error #1044 - Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'mysql'

and i have no privileges to create a new database.

Anybody? What do i have to do after succesfull install the MYsql and php addin to make it work :)

Many thanks.

Not sure why the password isn't working, but can you can rdp onto the server and open the MySql Administrative Console (and I just noticed my spelling mistake).

then type the following (including the ";")
SET PASSWORD FOR 'root'@'localhost' = PASSWORD('whateveryouwant);

AHHHHHHH!

The PHPinstall installed like a charm, MySQL now that was a big issue - It states that it installed ok, but when I try running https://xxxx-server/pma I get the webpage "
phpMyAdmin - Error
Cannot load mysqli extension. Please check your PHP configuration. - Documentation

I have checked everything - un-installed it and re-installed it and the same error pops up.

Any ideas or suggestions - otherwise I think you did a great job - keep up the great work

Just for completeness, I've seen the test.php screen on this and it shows the php.ini isnt set as per the WHS PHP Installer Add-In so an old version probably exists in c:\windows from an earlier installation and is taking precedence over the Add-In. Remove the php.ini file from c:\windows and all should function again.

Hi, I'm having problems using the add-in. I can't login to the phpmyadmin, could you tell me what the default password is?

I tried using root as the username and a blank password, I also tried the same password as my WHS but it won't login. Is there any way I can change the password using a config file?

When I tried using root as the username and no password I got the following response :

Quote:
PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 02772BEB

@UltimateUser Topic merged, please use search feature so we do not open a thread that already exists

@Cougar I have the same issue I posted in this thread so it is searchable if UltimateUser tried it

It works now, thanks! but why can i login with administrator as user and no password. Apparently it is i believe only in read mode somehow..

Edit: already solved it. Deleted users at privileges

regards

How would the MySql installer work if say for example; someone had mysql already installed as part of Squeezebox Server? Would there be a conflict? Would it be better to install MySql Installer for WHS first or Squeezebox Server first?

hmm, when i tried to install a php program i get the error:

getMessage()); } else { } } ?>

INSTALLATION PROGRESS:
Installation timestamp: 2009-09-26 6:28:56
1. Writing to configuration file... SUCCESS
2. Connecting with Database... SUCCESS
Query failed: Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I have only one root account with all privileges, and used this for the setup.

thanks!

Having two instances of MySql probably wouldnt be a good idea, in this scenario and if Squeezebox Server has MySql as part of it's setup you wouldnt need the Add-In.

I have also an error, it says 1603, from the logfile :

snip

Action start 10:28:27: QtExecDeferred.
Action ended 10:28:27: QtExecDeferred. Return value 1.
Action start 10:28:27: InstallFinalize.
CAQuietExec: Error 0x80070003: Command failed to execute.
CAQuietExec: Error 0x80070003: CAQuietExec Failed
Action ended 10:29:16: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.
Action ended 10:29:44: INSTALL. Return value 3.
Property(S): Data = C:\Programme\mysql\sql-bench\Data\
Property(S): File = C:\Programme\mysql\mysql-test\lib\My\File\
Property(S): pma = C:\inetpub\wwwroot\pma\

/snip

not sure if it is related to the german OS version. There is no other c:\programme\mysql. There was nothing created in D: as mentioned in the posts before. Anything else I can check to help ?

Addins : just wiist, your php (it is running and really great -> installed dokuwiki), that´s all
I had previously installed appache and mysql, which might be the reason for the error.

Thanks in advance

What happens if you try "C:\Program Files\mysql\bin\mysql.exe" -h localhost -u root -p
