4.x is no longer supported. You need manually update to version 5.1.x. See KB68647 for details.
https://kc.mcafee.co...tent&id=KB68647

Here are the steps we did to fix this problem:
1) Download the mcafee support tool using the link: http://www.mcafeeasap.com/downloads/whs ... dIn_v4.msi
2) Uninstalled the earlier version of mcafee from the the Console, Settings->Add-ins
3) Console restarts, login back in.
4) Copy the WHS Mcafee Support Tool msi file to the shared Software/Add-Ins location
5) Install the McAfee WHS Support Tool from the Console, Settings->Add-ins
6) Console restarts, login back in
7) Uninstalled the support tool from the McAfee Support tab. <== yes, it doesn't make sense but uninstall it from here
8 ) Click ok to reboot the home server from the popup after the uninstall
9) Server reboots, login back in
10) Install the McAfee Total Protection Service the Console, Settings->Add-ins (that magically appeared if you uninstalled correctly in step 7)
11) Wait... wait... wait (takes a while) console restarts, login back in
12) Activated the mcafee software using a new enrollment key from the website: https://www.mcafeeasap.com
13) Login with your account, then navigate to My Account->Account & Keys->Account Enrollment Key, click the "Create a new key" link
14) Enter the new key in the McAfee Total Protection tab and click on the Activate link

Hope this helps.

Great post. One issue I had is there is nowhere that the 16 digit license key is stored on the McAfee Security Center website. Any idea where I can get one?

Found out that McAfee's website is not compatible with IE9 and so the enrollment key that I was entering was not being recognized properly. When the support person took over my desktop, he copied and pasted the key from the webpage to Notepad and then to the add-in and it took. So if you are running this update, run it from a browser other than IE9 to ensure that it works.
