Good morning,

We had to rebuild one of our WHS and were able to successfully restore the database using WHS BDBB 1.0.0.4. The client backups have been tested and restores have been made of each to verify the database integrity. All is good, however when we go to perform a backup of the database it errors out when it gets to 9GB, even though it says 1,397GB is estimated to be backed up.

We have installed the latest version of WHS BDBB, however the same error occurs at 9GB. We have rebooted the server with a disk scan scheduled, but this hasn't solved the issue. The WHS DB is in good shape because we are able to perform restores of client backups without issue, however we cannot successfully backup the WHS DB.

Is there anything we can do so that we are able to get a good backup of the WHS DB? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Check event viewer on the server for specific error messages from BDBB. Check the drive that you are trying to backup to, it may have issues. Try the manual process which BDBB automates (linked in the first paragraph here): http://www.mediasmartserver.net/wiki/index.php/WHS_BDBB
