If my dbb's are around 100gb, does that mean my system drive needs to be at least that large so that a "copy" can be made on it during a restore? Currently it's only 20gb. I have a couple of external usb drives for server storage. Yesterday I could not get through a "restore", but it might be because I was trying to do it from the server storage backups. I also have some backups on a seperate usb external drive. This failed too--but I just realized I had it connected over a USB1.1 port, instead of the 2.0port on my motherboard. I'm wondering if that was the problem--or if I simply need a larger system drive, no matter which dbb I choose (from server storage or external drive). Any help would be appreciated!

I presume this question is about my BDBB Add-In. All WHS servers have a 20GB system partition. The WHS Backup Database resides in the storage pool, so you need free space in your storage pool equivalent to the size of the backup you are trying to restore. BDBB should not allow you to restore a backup that is larger than available free space. If you are encountering failures during the restore process, it's likely a drive or connectivity issue, and USB 1.1 could definitely cause problems.

Posting screenshots of what you are doing may be helpful to understand what you are trying to do.

Have you tried our Add-Ins?
