The are times when i am doing things on the server and i want those with remote access to know by posting a message on a block that will show after they log in. Is there a way to do this?

I don't know of any add-ins to do what you want, but it's for sure possible. Remote Alert Add-In adds a message to the /Remote login page to warn about various possible issues.

Remote Alert is great but what i am talking about is a way to announce things, or to let the user now not to do something.

I meant to give an example of how the Remote pages could have messages added to them. Remote Alert adds a notice to the Remote Login page (Protected by Remote Alert or something like that) and I've also seen it give warnings about man-in-the-middle attacks via messages on the Remote pages. The point being that an Add-In is doing what you ask, only for it's own use and not as a general use application. I've not heard of an application that will do as you ask with custom messages.
