Awesome! :mss: I have to ask why you have so many MediaSmart Servers, though!

At the beginning, I didn't know how store my datas.

As I was unable to built my own server and the eSata or USB enclosures wasn't sold yet in my country, the best way for me was to store on different servers.
Later, when some Seagate discs crashed due to the bug, it was so hard and long to recover my data so I decided to store all on one server with duplication enabled and extra backups on external discs.

Now, one of them backup my 6 PC and the last one is used for testing.

Hey Jonesm1 - looks good. I can't see from the picture, do you have an HTPC or some sort of extender in the A/V cabinet to view media from your MSS?

Looks nice, but if that is a working fireplace I'm bit so sure I would want the MSS that close in the cool weather!

I don't have a media extender yet. I do have a Denon 3808 AV reciever that I use to pay music files stored on the server.

The fire place doesn't get used very often here in Texas. When we did use it there was not much heat generated around that area. It's a little farther away than it looks.

Cool, just curious if there was a reason that you had your router/switches/MSS set up next to your entertainment center.

I have the av reciever, a sling box, dish network receiver, a blu ray player and the server all hard wired to the network there and I have a printer in the office with a wireless bridge and one wireless desktop computer and three wireless lap top computers so that just seemed to make the most sense for placement. There's not much room there so I had to get a little inovative and mounted the router, modem and switch to a board then attached it to the side of the entertainment center towards the back. The wires all run behind the center to it looks pretty clean.

Nice setup Maj!!! What do you use the MediaVault for? Also, what is the box right under your Blu Ray player?

I use the MediaVault as a backup to the email archive server that runs on WHS, it also stores iso images of my movies. The box under the blue-ray player is a Series3 TivoHD. I find it works a better than using the Xbox360 to stream music, pics, and video to the plasma you see in the last picture.

Finally got off my butt and took a pic of my wiring corner. I'm not thrilled with how close it is to the plumbing but that's where all the phonelines terminated in my home so that's where it had to be.

    Networking: WRT54GS(Tomato MLPPP), DLink DGS1016 (16 Port Gigabit Switch), SpeedTouch ST516, Linksys/Vonage PAP2 (1 Landline + 1 VOIPline Available throughout the house).
    Storage: EX470 (4x500gb WD Drives, 2Gb Ram, 3800+ x2 EE SFF)
    Power: SmartUps 1500VA, APC SurgeProtector.

About the DSL Filtering: Two filters in series filter the house from the DSL line/modem. The extra unconnected filters are 'in case' I decide to purchase a second DSL line to bond to the first.

Nice setup, I've become a fan of the networking closet myself. :mss:
