Here's my setup in my office. I got my MSS with CFI SATA port multiplier enclosure. I've got cable modem with Charter, going to Dlink Dir-655 router and from there to my Dlink gigabit hub. This feeds two PCs, work Laptop, HP tc1100 tablet and MSS in my office, Netgear gigabit hub and Vista media center in my living room and my wife's laptop. My house is wired with Cat 6. The only thing using WiFi is my tablet (802.11b  WHS only backs up my MS Onenote files) and my wife's laptop which has 802.11n card.

I don't know if this is "show off" material but this is my setup located in a corner of my unfinished basement where it's "out of sight - out of mind". As "sexy" as the Mediasmart is, it doesn't need to be a conversation piece for me when we have family and guests over. :) Plus, if anyone breaks into my home, I'm hoping that the intruder wouldn't think to go into the basement and steal the MSS with our valuable data on it.

Equipment includes:

Cat 5e cabling throughout the house
D-Link DGL-4300 Gigabit router. The MSS, PC, and PS3 are connected to this with the wireless antenna disabled. This was an upgrade from the Belkin F5D8230-4 Pre-N Router
D-Link DI-624 (using it for its 10/100 ports chained to the DGL-4300). XBox 360 and a couple PCs connected to it.
Belkin F5D8230-4 Pre-N Router - Using this only as a wireless access point due to its stronger wireless coverage in my house and its 10/100 ports. This is chained to the DI-624. The Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, and a couple of laptops take advantage of the wireless functionality. Yes, I have kids. :D
Vonage Telephone adapter. We use Vonage as our main telephone and cheap long distance services across North America.
Rogers Internet cable modem

My home for my server! Note the patch panel for my HOUSE with all 12 ports in the hub and router in use (8 in the patch panel). Be not afraid of all that network cable. There are extra hundred foot, 50 foot, and 25 foot (plus a half a dozen others) cables for HALO parties, LAN parties, new computer builds and the occasional wireless guest. All 1GB CAT 5e through the house with at least one port in each room with the living room and the computer room having 3 and 2 each. There is phone and coax to every room and enough space in my conduits for fiber when it arrives. Notice the battery backup to keep the network running if the power goes out. Good for the laptop and landline cable phone. Most of this I installed when I worked from home for HP.
The army man is my last ditch protection for Trojans and Hijackers...
I have pics of how I wired the house if you want to see. Just ask!

Is the fan there so you can move air around? You can always try one of those USB powered desk fans.

I am getting an 8-bay CFI enclosure on friday so I will clean this up and put in a new photo. Basically this is what I got right now in the corner of an upstairs office.

Latest and greatest, got the stand from Walmart for about $20. The USB Missile launcher is there for protection from the kids :) Hopefully ThinkGeek will have a WHS Addin so I can control that puppy from the web!
