I've got 4x1TB HDDs in my X310 and would like to replace them all at once, without server recovery or reinstall. Wondering if anyone here had done that, if so, is my approach correct:
    1. Remove one of the data drives from the pool, exchange with a new drive. Repeat for all data drives
    2. Use CloneZilla to clone system drive to a 1:1 copy, then extend data partition using diskpart
    3. Perform the registry modifications for the drive to be recognized

Right, so I did just that and it worked out of the box. Except I didn't need to modify the registry, CloneZilla did such a good job the new system disk was recognized as the old one - same name, everything. Just that its serial changed and it "magically" grew bigger. I did a cosmetic change by replacing all occurrences of it's "FriendlyName" in the registry.
