So my unit has been a wee bit noisy lately and hovering at idle around 45C. Pulled it off the shelf as it has been there since the v3.0 debacle running non-stop. Yeah it was gunked up with those horrible dust bunnies. SO I pulled it apart, added a third and final 1GB EADS drive.

One thing I do recommend is a lens pen. Absolutely perfect for removing the dust from the fans at the back. pulled the psu apart and cleaned out that fan too. Damn near silent running again and the cpu is down to 33C at idle after running for about an hour.

Yep mediasmart maintenance day made my day. :sanjuan:
