XtreamerTV Announced

The folks at Xtreamer keep plugging along with new devices (not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing :o ). Their players have been based around the Realtek chip, but it looks like they are finally dipping their toes into the Sigma waters with the XtreamerTV. The XTV will be based on the Sigma 867x chip (the same one used in the Popbox v8 and Dune TV301), with a new UI redesign (including an extremely minimal remote which makes me think they are going after Apple TV). Off the bat I am not sure what to think as I have had mixed results with Xtreamer products. Also, the Sigma 867x chip is not the best chip out there in terms of stability/reliability. I will see if I can get my hands on one to review (and I still need to revisit my Xtreamer Prodigy to review as well), but for now you can see more information regarding the XTV.

Although I always had some interest in technology, it wasn't until I got my EX470 and more importantly found Mediasmartserver.net, that my interest became an addiction. My goal, aside from world domination and to see the Mets/Broncos win another championship, is to set up the perfect digital home where all my media is available at the click of a button. I wonder why they choose for 10/100 ethernet only. Seems a bit behind the ball.
