It looks like the sale from Buy.com I reported last week is now the sale price at HPShopping.com. These are great prices for the MediaSmart Server. Deals like this tend to appear to either be holiday sales, or perhaps stock clearance in preparation for Encore? 
No official word from HP on that, we’re all waiting to hear when Encore will be available and what it will look like. There’s a few threads about Encore in the forums here and here.

Unfortunately the special at HPShopping.com seems to have expired. I searched around and found that they were being sold with a $250 discount from officemax.com. On 11/23 I picked up an EX470 for $299.
Tried the officemax.com route. Still listed at $299 but when adding to cart it said item is “discontinued” and not available for delivery. I was definitely ready to jump at the $299 price point. So…guess that means I am waiting for the next model (unless someone else can find another $299 sale).
Back at officemax.com for 299 – apprx 330 after tax
I picked up the 470 at HP’s website two days ago by using the two $50 instant rebates, that $30 discount code, free shipping, and the cashback deal from Live Search. Once the cashback clears, it will have ended up costing $340 with tax and shipping.
