Forum Spotlight: Boxee media server

A couple of weeks ago, a forum discussion began on the new Boxee media center software. Forum members with Apple TVs where attempting the upgrade, with some trepidation as there are apparently some issues with creating the patch stick required for updating the software.

Fortunately, Gizmodo came out with a guide that outlines all the details and steps needed to perform the install of the Boxee software. This guide was discussed by Cali Lewis of GeekBrief.TV. Cali is also streaming content off her MediaSmart Server which HP graciously provided her, and at the end of her review she directs her users here as the Unofficial Fan Site for the MediaSmart Server.

Now that the Gizmodo guide is out there, I hope to see more discussion about this very promising looking media streamer and how it works with the MediaSmart Server.
